Publishing posts to Facebook is a simple process with Social Planner as it offers multiple ways to create and schedule content. Whether crafting a new post from scratch, uploading content in bulk via CSV, or using advanced features like Content AI, you can easily manage and optimize your Facebook posts. This guide will walk you through each step, from typing your content to scheduling posts and submitting them for approval, ensuring your social media strategy remains efficient and effective.
New Social Post
To publish a Facebook post, navigate to the Social Planner within the Marketing section of your account, then click the blue "New Post" button.
You will then be presented with multiple posting options, such as using Social Planner Templates or Content AI. This guide will walk you through creating a new post and uploading a CSV file to publish a Facebook post.
Create New Post
Click on the "Create New Post" button from the dropdown menu.
Post To
From the "Post To" dropdown menu, select the specific Facebook account where you would like to publish the post. This dropdown will display all the linked Facebook accounts associated with your platform, allowing you to choose the correct one for your intended audience.
Type Content
Type in brief social content, rich media, hashtags, and more in this field. Get creative with adding formatting elements like bolded and italicized text, images, and even videos.
Click the location pin to tag a company to your post.
Make your typed posts more lively by applying a text background. If you have selected any images or videos, this option will be greyed out.
Follow-up Comment
The "Follow-up Comment" feature allows users to optimize engagement on social media posts by enabling comments that appear soon after a post is published. This feature works for various platforms including Facebook Pages, Facebook Groups, Instagram Business Accounts, LinkedIn Profiles, LinkedIn Pages, and X (formerly Twitter) Accounts.
Advanced Options
Under Advanced Options, you can apply your watermark to images, choose categories for better organization, and add tags to enhance searchability and categorization of posts.
Furthermore, you can choose whether your post should be published on your feed or as a reel.
Post Preview
Ensure you preview all your content before publishing to verify accuracy, layout, and overall presentation. This step allows you to catch any potential errors, confirm that your messaging aligns with your brand, and ensure the content displays correctly.
Post
When you click on the "Post" button, it gives you five (5) different sending options to choose from:
Post Now: This will allow you to send this post to the selected account immediately.
Schedule Post: This will allow you to schedule a post for a later date or time. Choose the date and time from the calendar and time slot.
Send Post for Approval: This allows you to send the post to another team member for approval. Choose the date and time from the calendar and time slot, and select an approver. You can add notes as well.
Schedule Recurring Posts: This allows you to automate the posting of content at regular intervals, such as daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. You can set specific time frames and select particular days for the posts to repeat, ensuring consistent engagement across social media platforms.
Add to Queue: This option enables you to add a post to the category queue you selected.
Save for Later
Alternatively, utilize the save for later feature to save your post as a draft for further editing.
Upload from CSV
You can also upload a post via CSV. After clicking the “New Post” button, select the "Upload from CSV" button to direct you to the upload page.
Next, choose the file format and upload the file. Please keep in mind that your CSV should be properly formatted. You can download a sample file to get a template of how to format your file.
Then click Next to select the socials and select the pages you want to post to. As well as selecting the Approver if needed.
After the posts are imported by clicking on Process CSV, they need to be reviewed by the chosen approver. Once approved, they are scheduled on the social calendar. If no approver is selected they will be scheduled directly.
Social Planner simplifies the process of publishing Facebook posts, offering multiple ways to create, schedule, and manage your content. Whether you're drafting posts from scratch, uploading content in bulk, or using advanced features like post-approval and recurring schedules, you have full control over your social media strategy.
